The installation consists of two projections: One for the text layer and the other for the image plane. The order of the slides is composed of a serial sequence of images, selectively placed and joint together with the text, created parallely and in reference to the pictures. This work documents the wisdom of an 80-year-old man and the documentarist’s relationship to him. The process of getting to know Jose was recorded photographically as well as in writing. In this work I have explicitly dealt with the position of the observer and same is consciously staged as a subjective one.
